There is one thing that has been spinning on my mind ever since I watched the movie. This conversation isn't that popular in the fandom, probably due to its uncomfortable subject matter, but it needs to be discussed. I'll be the one to start

The Director has groomed Ambrosius and it affected him far into adulthood

(A really long analysis post)

Warning: I'm not a psychologist neither am I really educated in this sphere, and I never was a victim of grooming, so don't take my words as 100% truth. However, I'm a literature student, so I can analyse a few scenes and make a conclusion lol

So, to start off, let's share the definition of grooming, shall we?

"Grooming is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them."

Now, of course Ambrosius is an adult in the movie, and we can't exactly know his entire history with the Director. So this analysis will take a few things as truth despite them not being confirmed

- the Director has been by Ambrosius's side throughout most of his life. Considering the fact that she's been around even when Ballister was a child, the same can be assumed about Ambrosius

- we as viewers do not see Ambrosius's parents (because this is quite unnecessary to the narrative, maybe we'll see them in a sequel Quane and Bruno were teasing buttt¯\_(ツ)_/¯), and he's been in the Institute since childhood, so it seems like the Director was the most reliable adult in Ambrosius's life

Despite Ambrosius being a grown man, the effect the Director has on him cannot be denied. His relationship to the Director is like half his character arc, the man being torn between his loyalty to the kingdom and his lover

I will take a few scenes from the movie where Ambrosius and the Director interact and try to analyse them

Starting off strong, we've got the "acting like common children" scene. I could point out the obvious bias the Director puts in her words (villainizing an oppressed group of people as a rich white woman in power how nice of her) but we ain't coming to her throat for classism today. Pay attention to her praising Ambrosius and singling him out. "Thankfully, we have a descendant of Gloreth to lead us"

Are other knights happy to be around Ambrosius tho? The answer is no

I think it wouldn't be wrong to assume Ambrosius's colleagues dislike him at best and outcast him at worst. Compared to Todd, who seems to be the more liked one amongst their peers (bro really is a jock bully high school stereotype in his 20s isn't that embarrassing), Ambrosius is isolated. He doesn't have anybody except Ballister and the Director. And as you all know Ballister and Ambrosius are separated for the most of the movie. So it leaves him with the Director as the closest person to interact with. Yeah...

Also in this scene she displays TWO tactics groomers use to manipulate their victims: isolation and favouritism

Another scene I'd like to pay attention to is Ambrosius's ✨iconic✨ freak out

"What's on your mind, Ambrosius? You can talk to me"

"...I'm fine, Director"

This scene actually left me confused on the first watch because it looks like a perfect moment for the Director to seem at least somewhat sympathetic. It truly seems like she cares about him

Honestly it's pretty hard for me to surely say whether or not she's being sincere or not but her goal is definitely to win over Ambrosius's trust, to make him believe she's a safe person (now that his real safe person is away ajdjdjj). That is also another tactic for groomers to manipulate their victims

And I think it would be fair to mention Director's attitude towards Ballister's and Ambrosius's relationship. It's obvious she knows about them (...not like it's rocket science have you seen these lovebirds) and disapproves. She doesn't outright state it but it's really clear

"Sir Goldenloin, is your loyalty to this Kingdom or to the knight who consorts with a monster?"

Again, amazing case of manipulation. She doesn't say Institute, nor "me" or whatever. She says kingdom. And she clearly knows that it works on Ambrosius, because he is, after all, Gloreth's descendant. Gloreth was the original protector, and Ambrosius is supposed to be the protector now. By choosing Ballister he betrays the kingdom, his bloodline and Gloreth

Now, I know this scene is not Ambrosius & the Director because it's Nimona in disguise but considering how good Nimona was in playing her part we might as well assume real Ambrosius would act the same.

Look at these eyes. He's afraid of her. She has the complete power over him. And Ballister is aware of this (if that's how he told Nimona to act)

Off-topic but I watched Nimona with two of my buddies yesterday and during this scene they both went like "Wait, who is she to Ambrosius again? Is she his mother? Because she acts like she one" and they are so damn right???

Now remember the fact that during one of the interviews Eugene Lee Yang said that the Director is Ambrosius's parental figure. Do with this information whatever you wanna do

I'm still not over her audacity in this scene. Her lip didn't even twitch and she's killing a person whom she praised for his bloodline. Saying "May Gloreth forgive you" while DRIVING A SWORD THROUGH HIM is beyond evil like??? Chill out Nancy Reagan???

I could say that this is the scene that debacles the American model minority myth (with East Asians being put on a pedestal and used to further reinforce white supremacy). A white woman killing an East Asian man while using a Christ-like figure to justify her actions (Gloreth is literally mentioned to be a Christ figure in the art book), and, if we take into account the theory that she wanted to set Ballister up so that it looks like he killed Ambrosius, BLAMING IT ON A BROWN ASIAN MAN was really a choice huh

The Director killed Ambrosius the second he questioned her, the second he wasn't useful to her

And how was he being useful to her? Allow me to introduce you to the scene which made me SUPER uncomfortable once I realized what was going on

During most of the movie Ambrosius acts rather impulsively, reflexes play a big part in his body language. And what does he do? He protects her with his body

"We need to get you to safety!"

Ambrosius was trained in a way that he needed to protect the Director with his body and his life.

Even in scenes where Ambrosius and the Director don't interact you can see how much Ambrosius is brainwashed.

"She manipulated you. She manipulated both of us. But together we'll take her down, you'll be a knight again"

"Thank you. The Director can't-"

"The Director? Oh, no, Bal. I'm talking about your sidekick"

Ambrosius refuses to even think about the effect the Director has on him. He's insisting on Nimona being the manipulator despite him being manipulated

Finally, when Ambrosius realizes something is CLEARLY wrong, he still tries to talk some sense into her

"But what if we're wrong? What if we've always been wrong?"

Despite him being a constant witness to Director's misdeeds he tries to do everything peacefully. Look at his face. This is a face of a man who doesn't want to harm. He gives the Director a chance to improve herself. I think he would forgive her after everything she's done

...but being a conservative she'd rather explode than admit she's wrong. So she attempts to kill Ambrosius again

This, again, says that no matter how much mercy you show to hateful people, they'll continue to be horrible to you. Just because they think they have a right to

Analysing Ambrosius's and the Director's relationship I think it'd be more than valid to state that she has, indeed, groomed Ambrosius to exploit and use him for her own (political and other) benefits. Other knights were brainwashed and groomed too, but something about her attitude towards Ambrosius really bugged me the wrong way

She is an excellent manipulator and Ambrosius fell victim to that, which is no surprise

I am gonna be petty so bear with it

This is a rant over the fact that we didn't get Longtae aka the best character in ATOTS back in the Our Skyy2 episodes

So Longtae was one of my favourite characters in ATOTS together with Tian and not just because he was played by Khaotung, it was actually Longtae the character tham made me fall in love with Khao and his acting, and let me tell you I was devastated weeks ago when the shooting started and ON photos were leeked and the official account posted photos of the side characters and no photo of Khao got out that I knew he wasn't gonna be there, and now that the episodes are all out I think I have an inkling of the reason

It was not because Khao didn't want to resume the role, in fact the boy loves ATOTS and Longtae he even said in an interview for the press of Our Skyy2 were they asked wich other characters he would have loved to play other than Ayan and he said PhuTian and Longtae, so that was not it, it wasn't even because actors that played a main role in another Our Skyy2 episode couldn't resume the role of side characters in another, as we can see with dr.Jimmy he played as Puen in VV and as Wai in BBS×ATOTS so not that either, the only reason I could accept could be the conflicting schedule but from what I remembered Khao shot the Eclipse episodes way before the rest started so he had no other show at that time and he didn't have that many things to attend but I could be wrong cuz he should have been shooting in Chiang Mai and his schedule didn't allow him to leave for too much still I think if they wanted him there they could have aaranged the schedule WAY PRIOR to starting shooting so this leaves me to my theory:

Longtae wasn't included in the crossover because he would have made Prans role useless

Let me elaborate, so Pran arrives at the village and his role is badically Tians companion for the most part of the episodes, then Pat arrives and they set themselves to try and pacify the resident couple cuz they need the signature for the play and they care for the relationship of a fellow queer couple, but even after that Pran spends most of his time with Tian, so if we went with the og show the ones that would help PhuTian would have been Mo Nam and Longtae but consodering Nammon left gmmtv after ATOTS the doctor couldn't be there so I think that this made Aof think of an alternative to execute his vision and this brought us to PP going to the mountines but wait! how can Pran play a role as well if we have resident best boy and best advisor Longtae there? simple we cut him off too! AND WE DON'T EVEN MENTION HIM even tho he was Tians best friend and spiritual brother on the mountine, and he would have done a much better job in helping the resident couple and he and Tian would have never got lost! remember this kid was able to get out of the forest at night and with mafia men chasing him! He would have stolen the show with his starry eyes pretty bangs and adorable personality, and if Pat had a crush on Phupa Pran would SO have a crush on Longtae!(am I fueling my NanonKhao ghostship? probably)

So this is my theory for why my baby wasn't included, I know a lot of people that watched the special didn't care much about Longtae being there but I cannot help it, he and Tian were my ultimate favourite characters there amd the bond they shared was more important to me than even the romance! there was just something special about them and I loved it so much and I will never forget how it was denied to me and all the people that wanted Longtaw back, and I will also never forget that he wasn't even mentioned once! In not a single monet during the full 4 episodes!

My name is Casper, but you can also call me Cas in short! I don't mind the pronouns you refer to me as, even tho I'm used to go by he/him. I'm a 21 y.o who is now reviving their roleplay acc and who's as well trying to search for a roleplay partner.

Roleplaying has always been one of my favourite hobbies, but due to personal reasons I barely dispose of time to dedicate myself to it, nonetheless I'd like to try once again with someone who may be on my same situation ^-^

Some important things that you should keep in mind before interacting with me are:

If you are homophobic, racist, sexist or overall don't respect others, I won't roleplay with you, nor hold a conversation. I won't lose my time with someone who can't respect others.

I'll only and exclusively roleplay with someone who is above 20+ since I am above that age too.

I am NOT going to roleplay: abuse of any kind, bullying, toxic relationships, hardcore topics or those that include a lot of blood and deaths.

If I deny a roleplay or idea, please understand and don't push me.

well here i am with notes like a week after i finished it asdfghjkl

overall notes: i think this is the game i came away from with the most gripes. other games have charm in their faults, this one just has disappointments, which makes me kinda sad.

literally mid, that’s my only short coherent thought. :( i don't think there was anything i genuinely loved in this one, compared to previous ones, but i still don't think it's a bad game. least favourite so far tho (unfortunately)

dragon engine akiyama (and haruka tbh) was initially kind of jarring but i’m used to them now. i think it’s akiyama’s hair that looks weird, it’s difficult to pin down... especially cos you see them immediately after the replay of the last moments of 5, so you have a direct comparison. <<< jumping in from endgame times but i think it’s cos he wasn't built from the ground up to be in this engine, but rather modified to fit it. it’s most obvious when there’s the ‘it’s the yakuza 6’ walking shot before the millenium tower long battle, and everyone else looks great (matsunaga especially looks fantastic) and then there’s akiyama asdfghjkl

so mad that majima and saejima and daigo are all right fucking there, and now i’m not gonna see them again until the last 10 minutes of the game. they deserved better. even a flashback scene somewhere, i’d take that! over nothing!

the prison scene is so interesting to me cos you can see that one, haruka’s putting on a front, and two, that kiryu just doesn’t get it. the game spends so much time setting up that the choice he’s making here is the wrong one (especially with the beach scene, where haruka’s so lost and he’s not fucking there), that leaving his family behind left them with no protection, no safety, and no family. haruka’s entire motivation for doing what she did was because she wanted to be with kiryu, and him putting that off/denying her that is misguided and cruel and i absolutely love it as a decision for him cos it feels completely in character. it’s also possible 3 years really does feel like nothing to him, cos he’s already done ten and also he’s an adult, where haruka is still a teenager where three years is a significant chunk of her life and about half of the time she’s known kiryu.

this is gonna come up again in these notes again later but i appreciate they show kiryu being emotional in both positive and negative moments. idk, it’s nice to see.

knowing where all this is going and then seeing the scene where kiryu leaves morning glory i teared up. i’m such a sap.

the troublr missions are kind of annoying for me, cos i’m the kind of person where if it pops up, i have to do it that second or i’ll forget about it? especially with the kinda messy layout it has. so i just did those one after the other for a while and i don’t think that’s how they’re intended to be done. << me from later on, i found them a lot better once they'd calmed down later on

also this game is so much more jank than kiwami 2 asdfghjkl i kinda knew that going in but it’s so different to actually sit down and play it yourself and you punch an enemy and he rolls up into a ball and spins rapidly in space like he’s trying to morph into sonic asdfghjkl

the fight with akiyama.... on a basic level, it kinda works to show how kiryu isn’t quite in his right mind but is dedicated to the point of causing harm to friends if it’s (in his mind) the best course of action, and how akiyama wants to help but can’t, and how he can’t bring himself to go all out against kiryu. BUT it also kind of falls apart cos he probably knows that going in, right? so would he not just step aside? probably not, he has his own principles, but it does kind of feel like that fight’s there cos the developers wanted an akiyama fight (but not enough to give him his own theme...)

someyaaaaaa i have sort of mixed feelings on him (cos of the kiyomi stuff later) but idk, i can’t hate the guy. him being performed well and compellingly helps, too.

onomichi’s so pretty

gonna get this out of the way now but i don’t like nagumo. i think he’s annoying and unlikeable so if he comes up later in these notes, bear that in mind for anything i say about him. also kiyomi tbh? her performance is doing her no favours

these soothe haruto missions are gonna haunt my nightmares. oh god. please let them only be in this section, i can’t take a full game of these every time haruto so much as breathes (okay i think we’re good)

fishing, not bad! wasn’t expecting it to be a rail shooter but not complaining (and the boss fight with bloody shark is great 10/10 fight intro)

baseball minigame! oh god there’s stats oh no it’s a mini sim ahhhhhhh help also this would’ve been the perfect place to put shinada in as a little cameo, ig no one considered it or his VA was busy. also wish there was more explanation of how it worked? i feel like i’m fumbling around here not really knowing what i’m doing << number up = good, there done

what’s with the high-key magic energy in onomichi asdfghjkl the girl who (probably?) leapt through time, the two people who (don’t) soul swap (had kimi no na wa just come out), the ghosts in the cemetery, where did this come from

CATS that’s it that’s the note. wish it was clearer where cats were (like you hear them meow and they'll be three blocks over) and also that there were more options for cat food in onomichi but whatever

are the poem stones replicas of actual poem stones in onomichi? if so that’s neat (they are!)

pocket circuit fighter! i knew he was in it but cos it’s been what, 8 months and 4/5 games since i last saw him i was genuinely really happy to see him again.

having said that this really feels like a fan service game in ways other ones haven’t? cos there’s fighter-kun, munancho, the various times kiryu will say/paraphrase lines from earlier in the series (pretty sure there’s one in the onomichio substory), it’s weird. not bad, i don’t think, just maybe they’re exploiting the fact that 0/kiwami came out like the year before, and that the game is full-voiced. same for the wrestlers and them saying their catchphrase every two lines, like it doesn't time to get to breathe as its own thing it's just a vehicle for these other things. same for rizap.

i have so few thoughts on the plot. oops.

sometimes i look at the scene below stardust, designed purely for the entertainment of bloodthirsty horny women, and wonder what rgg think of their female fans asdfghjkl like it’s kinda funny, cos it’s so exaggerated, but idk i’ve spent time on pixiv and tumblr and ao3, they’re not *wrong*. (tbc about fictional men, i imagine the average female fan wouldn’t jump at the chance to see actual men duking it out to the death in a non-fabricated setting e.g. wrestling etc).

ALSO yeah it’s han joon-gi, he’s got the kind of magnetic energy that someya does and that iwami bocchan is lacking.

i keep being distracted by hearing the guy who voices fighter in other places, like he’s in the kabedon substory, the one where date’s account gets hacked, he does other background fight noises, why is he everywhere in kamurocho asdfghjkl (note: the same noises have made it into judgment, help)

what’s with the hostess minigame, why is it like that??? idk if i like that << i do not

the game really wants you to like someya, or at least feel some sort of attachment to him as an antagonist and find him sympathetic, ig, and i see it, i do. but, and this is a big but, i feel like it doesn’t fully understand the implications of what it introduces between him and kiyomi? he kisses her without her permission and pulls her back in when she pulls away (which the game frames as being romantic), he was keeping her in the house (at least a little), had her brought home when she tried to leave and instead of talking about it beat her a bunch... this isn’t making me feel sympathetic and anything that comes later doesn’t absolve this.

also i forgot about the large age difference there, assuming he’s 18 when they meet she says she’s already in her 30s... i mean if there’s love there whatever but that’s still quite the gap.

possibly the longest night in an rgg game, jesus. so it’s fight through shangri-la, fight someya there, leave and run back to onomichi, fight through onomichi, run around finding hirose, fight the bald guy in red (wow his name didn’t stick), looong exposition convo about all the shit, fight the jingweon and han joon-gi, some exposition-y plot stuff, then fight the jingweon and han joon-gi *again*, and then you’re done. do you guys ever sleep????

joon-gi’s boss theme is a banger tho, very glad we get to hear it three times (more, ig, if you count 7 but i’m not there yet).

my one sort of plot hole? ig, is like, why didn’t joon-gi take haruto when haruka was in the car accident. he was there when it happened, all he wanted was the baby, so why didn’t he just grab him and run? did he see the accident and go nah fam not for me??? he says that she was holding on tightly and never let go, so he clearly saw/heard enough that he had a fairly detailed picture of what went down (maybe heard from tatsukawa now that i’m thinking about it) but i can’t work it out. did the truck that tatsukawa hit call the cops or smth and that’s why they bailed?

...i lost...to saigo.......

i think it’s interesting that the things kiryu is pissed off at yuta for when he goes to collect him from little asia are exactly what he’ll do in the future (and kind of did when he went to prison, tho to a less extreme extent). he thinks this is the only route he has left to protect his child, that dying is a valid solution to his problems, that he can leave a child without a father, like it’s all the same. i assume later games are gonna come back to this (cos the game absolutely frames this as The Wrong Decision, in both cases) but kiryu!! come on man!!!

(i do like playing as a fuck-up tho. it’s nice)

i feel like my main gripe with the game can be summed up in the cutscene where hirose dies. like, it’s deliberately giving parallels to kiryu’s own situation with kazama, the scene gets a lot of build-up and explanation (one might say too much all at once but hey ho), and i just don’t *care*. it’s a huge moment for both nagumo and matsunaga and i just can’t bring myself to be emotional about it because i have no attachment to these characters even if kiryu does. and tagashira is just *there* poor guy has no plot importance at all despite doing a whole bunch of work in the long battle before hirose throws a kitchen knife at him. also no one seems bothered about this even afterwards but WHATEVER i’ll be the only who cares about tagashira, it’s okay

anyway

where 6 falls down is smth i think 3 did pretty well, where when you’re getting to know the ryudo family, you actually get to know them. you have a full establishing of their relationship in the plot, then you get substories each with mikio and rikiya, plus you spend a fair amount of time with nakahara in the plot helping him out. it’s not just kiryu who’s befriending them it’s *me* the player too. so when nakahara is in trouble, when mikio puts his life on the line, when rikiya dies, those moments have emotional weight for me because i’ve been given chance to care about these characters and their lives.

and also these characters actually have lives! you genuinely get the sense that they existed with their own shit before kiryu arrived and will continue to exist after him too (even if they don't appear again...).

6 doesn’t give you that. these characters don't exist on their own ground, they're there for kiryu and solely him, to further his story and character development, and to have deliberate similarities to him. there really should’ve been substories for each of the members of the hirose family (maybe not patriarch but he could turn up! or smth!), something where i, the player, could learn about who they are as people beyond these otherwise very shallow characters. yuta and nagumo are sort of exceptions, but nagumo isn’t likeable, and yuta...maybe needed smth to justify how he ends up nearly burning down a building with him and his dad in it. that’s a fairly drastic decision to make and we’ve seen nothing that really suggests it’d be smth he’d do until it’s happening.

*sigh* i dunno, man. it’s frustrating playing 6 because there’s good things there! but it also feels weighed down by its need to be referential (0, kiwami), to fit in sponsorships (rizap, the wrestlers for clan creator), and to fit so many different kinds of things in that the individual activities don’t get much development or depth.

the baseball minigame clearly was made with a lot of love, especially down to the UI, the movements, even the logos of the teams (kanamizawa gorgeous logo my beloved), but as an actual gameplay experience (for someone not into baseball) it’s kind of mid? same for the fishing minigame, it could’ve done with being longer and more fleshed out. i like what’s there but maybe one more level would’ve helped? and bar chat, hoo boy bar chat. the substories once you get there are okay, and the chats themselves are fine, but having played the ones in kiwami 2, it’s just a let-down.

which is kind of the vibe of a lot of the gameplay, tbh. because i’ve played kiwami 2, i can just see where these things would be improved, not work with what i’m given. i didn’t even have this problem with 3, cos in some ways that felt like a challenge to overcome. there were workarounds, there were things i could do to make the experience better for myself. i just feel stifled in 6.

hostess minigame bad. i feel set up to fail, constantly.

oh and the rizap one is bad too, have i mentioned that yet? well, have now

BUT as much as i don’t like like a butterfly, saki killed it!

i wonder when specifically kiryu decided he was going to die. like, he writes the letter (to daigo) in the hospital room with haruka and yuta and haruto chilling on the other side (which is a special brand of fucked up but i digress), and had clearly decided he was going to commit murder a little before that, so when? when he saw haruka in the hospital bed? when the yomei alliance came to attack the hirose family and booted them out of their own home, endangering their lives and loves, and he viewed it as all his fault? even earlier than that?

haruka knows, too. she knows he’s lying when he says he’ll come home, or at least she suspects it. she always knows

someya should’ve been the final boss. i get why he isn’t, cos making all that work when iwami jr and sugai are still around would be kind of awkward, but come onnnnnnn his fight is so much cooler and he’s a little like ryuji in that you spend more time with him earlier in the plot and appears frequently, he’d be great to have as a full circle kind of final boss. ah well

does nagumo have a character arc or does he just have a bunch of different emotions over the course of the story? i’m tempted to say the latter. like, when someya dies in his arms like ‘promise me you’ll protect my daughter’ that’s a nice moment (if you ignore how it completely removes kiyomi from this decision and gives her no agency but WHATEVER) but that’s like, the only interaction they have all game??? oh wait no i think nagumo yells him at once in new serena. but that’s it! i’m not saying they need to have a heart to heart about kiyomi (it being implicit in someya’s death scene is part of what makes it work) but just smth so someya sounds less desperate for whoever happened to be there to do it (cos otherwise why wouldn’t he ask kiryu, y’know?). i think one more scene/conversation somewhere, either with someya and kiyomi, and nagumo and someya, would have improved this massively.

anyway to my actual gripe with that scene, why didn’t they translate イカれちまった??? so when kiryu asks someya what the hell happened, he says that and the team translated it as ‘you’ll find out in the afterlife!’ which feels so out of place in the scene and that’s an odd decision to me?? cos (unless i’m missing smth, which is possible) that means smth like ’i got outclassed’ (or smth similar but better) which has a very different vibe and fits in with his character arc and the delivery of the line much better. he’s someone who’s been manouevering himself to the top and is willing to do anything to get there and believes wholeheartedly that one, he belongs there, and two, he *will* get there. so when he’s so easily out-manouevered by sugai, and when he acknowledges that, that’s a big deal! and it’s just...not in the english. am i wrong???? is there a reason they made this decision that i’m missing?

is the thingy of kiryu getting in the way of yuta who’s getting in the way of haruka (and haruto) when sugai is about to shoot them a deliberate reference to the end of kiwami, when it’s kiryu, haruka and yumi? it looks like one. also the line where haruka is like 諦めるな (don’t give up) isn’t that what kiryu says to her at the end of 5, before the concert? and it’s the only real interaction they have all game?

iwami is such a meh boss fight. it took me a second to realise why (beyond the obvious) but he...doesn’t have a QTE??? even koshimizu gets a mid-fight cutscene to split it in two, but iwami doesn’t get one? that’s kind of funny but also not great design? he reminds me of munakata from 4 in a way, cos you can’t not have him as a boss on a purely story level, but he’s also the least interesting boss and character in the room, y’know? he shouldn’t’ve been last imho. 5 gets around it by not having kurosawa as a boss, but he’s replaced by majima so it’s all good, there’s no real replacement here

also nagumo gets stabbed like three times *and* shot and the game only really remembers that last one

for the karaoke, i like that you get to do hands in full, it really does the song justice and yeah it takes twice as long as the others (and is the only one like that in the series as far as i know) but it’s absolutely worth it. also really like the addition of harmonising on some of the hostess songs, like brand new stage and fork in the road. would love if they did more of that, it was great in raindrops and pure love in kamurocho and works here too.

“I d-do not!” You simply say as always, ransacking your brain for a good enough excuse to get you out of the situation this time.

“And you deny it,” he says with a soft chuckle after.

After this boy knows your secret, he won’t use it to his advantage, but he grows more affectionate.

Zhongli will be praising you 24/7.

Not only do you flush red when he does, but he has every reason to do so. As a god who’s well known, calculative, stern and powerful, Zhongli is proud to have you as a girlfriend.

He knows this vulnerability isn’t for everyone, and finds it truly heartwarming how you open up to him and let yourself relax. He loves you and will prove it to you everyday through his words and actions, you might not act like it’s important, but it’s your favourite part of the day. Just him.

If the two of you reveal that you’re in a relationship, like Diluc it will be positively looked upon. Zhongli has made quite the reputation around Liyue, and even though there might be some idle chatter about his occupation at the Funeral Parlour and you as a god, you will quickly shut it down if it comes to it.

whats you're favourite magi arc? and why

Alright so I took a while to answer this because I wasn't sure how direct I wanted to be... You'll understand when you get to the end

My Favorite arc in the Magi anime:

The Sindria arc (obviously). I am a Simpbad after all. My favorite scene is when Kou delegates arrive. I hate what happened to Kougyoku; she was betrayed by a trusted advisor and spent at least a month thinking she had been assaulted in her sleep. What I do like is how these mimics Chinese historical dramas, and in general I like seeing Sinbad squirm under the consequences of his own actions. He might not have committed this crime, but his reputation is so bad with his own Household members that they didn't even question it. The voice acting in the anime really elevates the whole thing.

My Favorite arc in the Magi manga: (SPOILER WARNING)

Of course I love the Sinbad arcs, but after a bunch of rereads I noticed that I keep really looking forward to the arc of Alibaba and Judar trying to make their way through the Dark Continent. Alibaba is condensed into his most friendshaped form, and Judar is forced to face a bunch of things he had been denying and using to runaway emotionally. There was no one for him to force his toxic habits on, so he calmed down like a feral cat being tamed.

My Favorite arc in the Adventures anime:

It's almost a tie between the Valefor Dungeon and Artemyra arc, but the later wins for 2 reasons. 1. The whole thing about being kicked into a pit naked as a punishment and getting out by tricking gaint birds into carrying him is from the original Sinbad the Sailor stories. I really love when a character lives through a arc based on their name sake. 2. There's a fourth wall break.

I'm not a fan of how the Queen was treated tho. Would have preferred not having the non-con moment.

My Favorite arc in the Adventures manga: (SPOILERS WARNING) Also, TRIGGER WARNINGS for: emotional and physical child abuse mentioned but no direct details are given. Cults mentioned.

It's hands down the Slave arc. I like how well the emotions are shown for all of the characters, and how the children being brainwashed are portrayed. I also really like how Sinbad responds to the decisions he made in that environment, and that he has (what I can only view as) a PTSD flashback to it later. Ohtaka has stated that Sinbad has an inhuman level of mental and emotional stability, but we can still see how what he went through was traumatic and affects the rest of his life.

But more than that, this arc is my favorite in the whole franchise for a very personal reason. It helped me with part of my recovery with CPTSD and PTSD. It's something that I know I will end up talking about in the fanfic eventually but I'm not sure how much.

One of my therapists had said that what my sibling and I went through was akin to the brainwashing in cults to make worshippers basically slaves to the leader. I knew what our parents did was bad, but I struggled to believe it was as bad as she said until I read this arc and related to the slaves, and brainwashing, and punishments Sinbad goes through. I had seen slavery depicted in other things, but those all focused on brutal physical punishments; this focused on mental and emotional manipulation, and Maadar didn't want to give Sinbad scars or injuries that would make him unpresentable -just like my mom was with me. I have since watched a lot on cults and gosh is it chilling to see something so horrible that I relate to so completely.

For anyone who read the little about my ex-fiancée: I couldn't recognize the red flags because he was so much better than my parents.

I will be going into some detail with all of this in the fic, so I'll stop here for now.

(Mild spoilers for the show crazy ex girlfriend!! Also if you haven’t seen it, go watch it because it’s soo good and not as sexist as the title makes it sound! You don’t really need to have seen the show tho to read this)

It had been a long week. Roman had been having to balance home work, art coursework AND practicing for the school show. Not to mention how many arguments he’d gotten into with Virgil about lighting of said show. But now it was finally Friday night and he could breathe. 

Roman went straight to change out of his regular clothes and into his silk red pajamas, the material feeling soft against his skin. He then switched off his bedroom light, making the room as dark as possible, flopped onto his bed and switched on his TV to Netflix. He looked through each of the shows on his list that he’d been meaning to watch before changing to his ‘watch again’ list to binge ‘Crazy Ex Girlfriend’ for the 5th time. What? Roman knew what he liked. 

He clicked onto a random episode before huddling into his white duvet and red and yellow pillows. A few episodes passed, Roman singing along to all the songs having memorised them by now.

‘I really needed this’ Roman thought as the next episode began to play.

Then, as if on que, his brother Remus burst through his door, the light from the hallway blinding Roman.

“Hey dipshit! What we watchin’?” Remus said, jumping onto Romans bed, crushing his legs in the process.

“Ow! Remus!” Roman squawked, pulling his legs away.

“Don’t be a puss.” Remus laughed, nudging his brother in the side and yanking the blanket over towards him.

“Remus!” Roman said, trying and failing to steal his blanket back.

“Sorry Ro-bro, it’s mine now. So, what we watchin?” He asked again.

Resigning himself to the fact that Remus wasn’t going to leave, he answered rather defeatedly, “Crazy Ex Girlfriend.”

“That again? Wait, was that you singing the songs again?! I thought a cat was getting mauled somewhere or something!” Remus laughed as Roman made an offended gasp before hitting his brother in the head with one of his pillows.

“Shut up!”

They were able to get though a few minutes of the episode without too much of an issue. Emphasis on the too much because Roman has a beautiful singing voice thank you very much and those aren’t even the right lyrics Remus and you know it!

That was until a very specific scene started to play.

‘Shit.’ Roman thought. ‘Are we up to this bit already?’

Roman watched very quietly as the character Darryl began to call his co-workers into his office, his back going (ironically) very straight and his discomfort hanging thick in the air.

‘What the heckity heck five abs and one pec am I supposed to do here?’ Roman thought in panic as Darryl began to sing the iconic song ‘Gettin bi’ as he came out to his co-workers. It was one of Romans personal favourites in the series considering he was also bisexual. But also considering no one apart from a few close friends knew that, this was approaching dangerous territory.

‘If I don’t sing this song, that’ll look suspicious!’ Roman thought. ‘But if I do, there’s a very high chance I’ll get too into it and out myself! How the heck to straight people react to this?!’

He eventually opted to humming it slightly, making a comment about how he “doesn’t really know the words to this one,” despite it being on his playlist. Roman then dared a glance at his brother, who was watching the show unbothered. He couldn’t help but wonder what Remus was thinking. Sure, Remus had never said anything homophobic in the past but Roman had met some of his friends and they weren’t exactly the most pleasant of people.

‘Well, most of them.’ Roman thought, blushing slightly as he thought of Janus, Remus’ best friend, before shaking the thought away.

“It’s pretty cool they have so much diversity in this show.” Remus said casually, tossing popcorn into his mouth. (Wait, when did Remus get popcorn?) “I mean, most shows completely ignore bisexual people existing but this guy gets a whole ass song about it.”

Roman couldn’t help the warm, comforting feeling in his chest. “You think?” He said, carefully.

“Well, yeah. Me and one of my friends who’s bi was talking about this yesterday. In shows and movies, they always act like a character can only be either straight or gay but that’s so stupid. They can be bi or pan or poly or omni. They’re just uncreative and erasing a bunch of people.” Remus said, tossing a sweet into his mouth. (Wait, when did Remus get sweets? What the fuck?!)

Roman honestly felt like he could cry. “So you don’t think it’s, like, made up or whatever. Or a phase?” Remus looked at him judgingly.

“Well, obviously not.” He said as if Roman was stupid. “Why, do-oof” Remus was cut off by Roman tackling him into a hug. And yep, Roman was definitely crying now. Remus just seemed to freeze like a deer in headlights.

“Roman, what the hell?” Roman moved away from Remus, frantically whipping tears from his eyes. “Uh...Roman? You alright?”

“I’m...um.” Roman began to choke on the words he was so close to speaking. ‘Am I really about to do this?’ “I’m bisexual.” He quickly said, eyes averting Remus’.

There was a beat.

It surely must have been just a few seconds but God did it feel like an eternity. Roman looked at Remus, waiting for him to say something. Anything.

‘Oh God this was a mistake! He hates you! He’s going to out you to mom and dad and-‘

Remus smirked. “Yeah, and the skys blue, grass is green and snakes have two dicks. What else is new?” Remus laughed.

“I...what?” Roman said, not entirely sure what to say to that, especially that last comment.

“I already knew you weren’t straight, you dork.” Remus smiled, nudging Roman in the shoulder.

“You...what?” Remus just laughed.

“Roman, you’re literally a theatre kid. Plus, anyone with eyes can see you drooling over Janus every time I bring him over.” Roman felt his entire face go red at that. Then he felt a twisting sense of horror in his gut.

“Do mom and dad know?!” He asked, slightly panicked.

“Probably not but I won’t tell them if you’re not ready.” Roman sighed in relief at that.

The two then turned back to the TV. The song had finished and the episode was continuing. Roman felt...strange. Almost as if it wasn’t him who had just come out.

“I’m really proud of you, you know.” Remus said, not taking his eyes off the screen with a small smile on his lips. Roman felt his heart light up, almost like a massive weight had been lifted from his chest.

That was until Remus playfully punched him in the arm.

“Ow! Remus!”

“What? That’s how I show affection!”

This quickly turned into a wrestling match.

Roman was glad things hadn’t changed that much, at least.

Genshin Impact Visions & Gods

This has been bugging me since i started playing in mid november, but what makes a certain Archon give a Character their Vision. Considering i couldnt find any official info, I decided to do some research on each Archon and then on the player Characters we have of each element as of beginning of December 2020.

This will contain spoilers on characters & story!

Note: The travelers will not be included due to them not having Visions and having more then one Element.

I am basing this on overlaping themes and not on anything related to the actual Archon. I did add some info on the archons tho, due to this being about Visions and archons

“It is unclear whether Visions are directly granted by its element's corresponding Archon or by the nation's Archon. There is also the possibility that granting a Vision requires approval from both Archons. Yet another possibility is that they are granted by neither, and are instead given by the gods on Celestia.”

Starting with my Favourite Element, Electro.

Electro wise, We have five Characters as of right now: Kequin, Razor, Beidou, Fishl and Lisa. The Electro Archon, God of Eternity, Baal, is the ruling Archon of the Area, Inazuma, whitch is the area we are getting in the 1.4 update in 2021.

To start off i read into any info i could find on Baal and i gotta say, she is a interesting Fellow. As of right now we know that Baal has locked Inazuma down and has initiated a Vision Hunt Decree, due to her thinking Visions should be under the sole domain of divinity. She also hasnt handed out any Visions since this decree which means all Electro characters we know have gotten theirs before this drastic change.

Now, why did these 5 characters get their Visions? Well each character has a different reason, from Razor wanting to protect those he calls friends to Lisa simpley saying it would be of use to her and just getting it. From what I've found there isnt really a big overlap in the reciving of the characters, but what is overlaping is their fixation on something.

Razor recived his vision due to him being fixated on getting stronger to protect his friends after he failed to while being dragged away by an abyss mage

Kequin was fixated on sharing her beliefs, that the people of Lyiue shouldnt rely on Rex Lapis and have their Pride and that their views are of Equal importance

Fishl was so fixated on a book series she changed herself to be like the main character, fishl and her Vision manifested in the form of Oz, one of the characters from said book

Beidou was fixated on killing Haishan, a sea monster, from a young age and recived her vision when she did so

Lisa is pretty much fixated on understanding magecraft and the cost of reciveing a Vision.

Now onto a easier Element, Geo

The Archon of Geo and Contracts, Morax, Archon of Lyiue.

Morax or Rex Lapis, was one of the oldest gods, defended Lyiue in the Archon war, the Currency in Teyvat, Mora, is named after him and as of Chp.1 Act 3 we know that he has taken the form of Zhongli and has retired as the Geo Archon.

Morax, Along with Barbatos, are the only two Archons of the Original Seven that havent been replaced.

Now, who are our Geo Characters? Noelle and Ningguang, two dedicated powerhouses! This one is fairly simple, thanks to voicelines we have of Zhongli since he came out as a player character (Bless the pity pull for giving me this man)

In his “About Ningguang” Voiceline he says: ”Despite the multitude of affairs she deals with in a day, Ningguang always continues to press on. A rare gem indeed. I'm reminded of the time that she used to walk barefoot from Yaoguang Shoal to the south wharf, trying to sell her wares as she went. Time is cruel to humans.”

Noelle recived her vision when Jean Acknowledged her hard work when she tried to get into the knights of favonius. in her “Vision” story it states: This was a lucky day that she would always remember, for she would receive recognition from two all-important sources this day: once from Jean, and the other from the gods. Her hard work has been remembered after all.

So for short: Hard working and dedicated = Geo Vision

Next up we have Anemo

Our wonderful Tone deaf bard, Venti or otherwise known as the Archon of Anemo and freedom, Barbatos, the not really ruling Archon of Mondstadt.

Barbatos is a freedom loving guy and refuses to rule over Mondstadt, the city of freedom and is by far the weakest of the Archons, despite this the people of Modstadt still love and adore their windy God.

I went into this one thinking “Oh this is easy, itll be love for freedom or something!” Nope, it surprisingly wasnt. Jean and sucerose recived their visions through their Determination it seems. Sucerose from doing her 159th Dandilion seed Simmering experiment and Jean seemed to be determened to be a good grandmaster and to protect Mondstadt.

That aside, i couldnt find many overlaps with the two, they are both free spirited and love what they do.

Now on to Pyro

Pyro, the Element of the Archon Murata who is also the god of War, is wielded by the fan fav Diluc, as well as Klee, Xiangling, Amber, Bennett and Xinyan.

Not much is known about Murata, Venti describes her as a “ wayward, warmongering wretch” and thats about all we know. She presides over Natlan.

Now to the characters, this was acually the easiest of them all: Passion.

Every Pyro user has a huge amount of passion that a rolemodel or Loved one ignited within them.

This one definitly surprised me the least and i am really excited for when we meet Murata and Natlan.

Diluc has the same passion his father had

Klee has a passion for Explosives that her mother ignited

Xiangling has a passion for food and cooking she got from her father

Amber got her Passion for Mondstadt and the outriders from her grandfather

Bennett got the Passion for adventure from all the old adventurers he calls dads, yes Dads as in plural, that raised him

Xinyan has a passion for Rock, tho i havent found out more of her story due to her being so new.

Now heading onto Hydro

Hydro, along with Dendro, is the only element where we do not know the name of the Archon. All we do know is that they are the Archon of Hydro and Justice and rule over Fontaine.

So straight to the Hydro characters: Barbara, Mona and Xingqiu.

I dont really count Childe due to the only thing talked about is his dilusion and i am rather confused on if he even has a real vision but i still love him lots

Im going to be honest this one really had me running the brain gears for a while.

All three recived their Vision as an extension of the self.

Barbara  got hers after helping a sick boy by singing to him to help him sleep through a fever, Mona rekindeled a learning aid to her vision, to aid her with her search for the truth of the rules of the world and Xingqiu got his after he explained the principles of his clans martial arts anew, litterally saying that martial artists should see Visions as a extension of the self.

Last but definitly not least, Cryo

Cryo, the Element of the Archon know as the Tsaritsa. We acually dont know her corrisponding ideal nor her acual name and this one was just as geargrinding as Hydro.

The Tsaritsa, Ruler of the fatui and the one that gives them their Dilusions, is one interresting lady. We get a description of her from Childe: “Her Royal Highness the Tsaritsa is actually a gentle soul. Too gentle, in fact, and that's why she had to harden herself. Likewise, she declared war against the whole world only because she dreams of peace. Her gaze was cold but pure, arrogant yet sharp. She was not only the sacrosanct Cryo Archon but a true warrior also.”

Kaeya, Chongyun, Diona and Qiqi, our current four Cyro userer, all have rather interesting storys when it comes to how they got their Vision.

All dont accept something

Kaeya felt guilty about hiding who he was from the family that adopted him after his father abandoned him to be a spy in Mondstadt, and told Diluc, someone he used to be very close with, the truth, since then he sees his vision as a stern reminder that he must live his life under a heavy burden of Lies. He pretty much doesnt accept the truth of his situatin and would rather live with that heavy burden

Chonyun is surpressing a part of himself, the condition he has, and as Xiangling says in Chongyuns stories, is denying a part of him. He trys to work around his condition and wont accept it as the way to go about how he practices exocrism.

Diona wont accept the truth about her father being a Alcoholic, and places the blame on the Alcohol industy instead of accepting that he isnt as high and mighty as she thought. She wont accept that her fathers bad control over his drinking habits is the reason he acts as he does and instead blames the alcohol industry.

Qiqi didnt want to accept her death nor does she really accept her Zombie like traits and only uses them when she needs to defend herself.

My theory is the Cyro Visions are recevied when you wont accept the grim reality as it is, if this is positive or negative variates

When it comes to the last element, Dendro, we sadly know nothing nor have we seen any dendro character in action. So that might be a addition later on.

I’m really interrested if we find out the actual criteria for reciving each Vision one day

Of course it’s OK! I’ve always liked the idea of MC having a really interesting hobby and teaching the brothers about it. I feel like all the brothers would be very supportive of them, even if they all had various reactions to their hobby but I really love writing wholesome moments like that. Sorry this took longer to come out, I made them really long to make up for it!

-So one day he decided to see what the fuck was so great about that giant notebook you always have with you

-He turned your entire room upside down searching for the damn thing before finding it

-He flipped through it and I’m sure the entire House of Lamentation could hear his gasp

-You drew him for pages and pages in all sorts of positions and styles and he was a flustered tomato going through them

-You willingly drew him? The scum of a demon who could never do anything right unless it involved money? You put your time and effort into these sketches and doodles despite him being condescending and a dick at times?

-Excuse me but this man is already head over heels in love with you, you can’t keep giving him reasons to fall for you

-He was so engrossed into your work that he didn’t notice you behind him

-It was so refreshing for him to see you so invested in your drawings the same way he is in his reading

-You ended up finally gathering enough courage to show him one of your portraits of him

-Once he caught you staring at a cat as you started sketching it

-He actually didn’t think it was possible to love someone this much

Asmo:

-Noisy little fucker that he is and in need of drama, he looked through your sketchbook

-Thought it was a diary at first but nope

-Imagine his surprise when he found pages upon pages of drawings of his brothers and him

-Except his weren’t really a surprise

-He’s gorgeous of course you would want to draw him

-But oh my God, do you realise how much he values art??

-I know he looks as if he only thinks about sex but he definitely has a thing for creativity and art like painting and photography

-Mammon needed your assistance to get down from where Lucifer hanged him after one of his failed money schemes

-He knocked a glass of milk nearby it and had a panic attack for a minute

-Legitimately thought he ruined the whole thing

-Was actually about ready to cry because he knew how important your sketchbook was to you

-Looked through it just to make sure there were no splotches or anything

-To say he was relieved when he realised it was fine would be an understatement

-He was kinda drawn to your sketches, most of them carefully drawn and expressive, even some of the ones you scribbled out

-One specific drawing caught his eye though

-You drew him and Belphie together, with his twin brother’s head resting on his shoulder while Beel ate

-He was mesmerised by your talent and by your thoughtfulness

-Beel felt bad about it but he kept looking through your sketches, enchanted by everything in it

-You drew him and his brothers several times

-It’s safe to say the discovery of your drawings brightened his day

-Gave back your sketchbook later

-He apologised for going through it without your permission more than he needed to

-You had to accept his apology because he looked like a kicked puppy

-Feels very honoured whenever you let him look at your work

-But that might be a bit of a problem seeing as he tends to move around a lot

-But he wants to be more involved in your interests so that’s why he took initiative with your sketchbook

-Idk what he was expecting but definitely not a sketch of him staring back at him

-His heart skipped a beat but I don’t even know if demons have hearts

-The cheeky little shit took pictures and may or may not have made on your drawings of him his wallpaper

-Most of the drawings were of him sleeping, surprising...absolutely no one

-“So that’s what you’re up to whenever I go to sleep huh? So cute~”

-But besides all that, he is really touched

-I mean, if there’s anyone undeserving of your love and respect is the piece of shit of who tried to kill you

-Yet here you are, continuously showering him with affection and now this

-Probably spent hours looking at your sketchbook while you were at R.A.D

-Didn’t say anything to you when you came back except handing your notebook back to you

-Though he was less of a smartass and more affectionate for the rest of the day

-Next morning, you took the liberty of waking up before him and sketching him again

-He grabbed your arm halfway through your doodling and grinned at you from under the covers

-“Drawing me again huh? You won’t mind me doing this while you’re at it then right?”

-Now he’s sleeping in your lap

-Whenever you show him your work, he makes a small approving noise but he’s seriously impressed

-Draw Lucifer or Lord Diavolo in any offensive manner and he will actually start giggling

-Gets all huffy puffy when you draw his brothers instead of him (we all know Beel is the exception)

-I may have a thing for Belphegour

People often seem to think my burning hatred for the supernatural finale is related to my sympathies for Destiel.

It's not.

I do not think the finale felt outrageously bad written and more close to a parody of the whole series than an actual closure of all those years of growth because we did not get (well then we did, then we did not, then we did again and now I'm not sure where we land) canon Destiel, although I felt utterly betrayed by how they killed off Castiel, because his character, aside from what may or may not have been his relationship with Dean, deserved so much more. But that's for another post.

I won't lie, the thought of domestic destiel has made me smile more than once but I could process Cas end, even though it felt like a stab to the heart and to this day I can't watch his last scene without feeling like it's hard to breathe (yes Misha Collins can do that), because it was in character. Cas had already sacrificed himself for others. It hurt, but it made sense.

I hate the finale because of what they did to Dean and Sam. From the start Dean was my favourite character, my comfort character, and even tho once they added Castiel I fell for the little nerdy dude that could melt your face off if he wanted to but still preferred to watch the bees, Dean always had a place in my heart.

He was not a hero. He did bad things, he never denied them. His self loath and depression hit pretty close to how I felt (and feel) for most of my life, but he pushed through, he "always kept fighting". He grew out of the toxic mentality his father pushed him in, he became his own person, realized it was worth living. He had bad moments now and then, but Sam, the little brother who always sought his approval and who always looked up to him, pulled him through.

And yes, after the final battle they both were in pretty bad shape, but I cannot accept the fact that Dean Winchester, the man who never gave up, even when he wanted to, would have just let himself die, without even trying to fight. Not like that. Not on one of his dad's hunt. Because that means that there's no hope, no "maybe it will get better" that was the pillar of the show, the reason why so many people got attached to it's broken characters.

And even if they wanted to kill them off they could've done a hell of a better job.

I can't accept the fact that Sam Winchester let his brother die, without even trying to find help. Just the whole scene sounded forced and fake. The Sam I grew fond of would've have hushed him, keeping him still while calling an ambulance, because he could see that there was no blood in his mouth so the wound as bad as it was could not be fatal, not yet. The Dean I admire would've not let his brother watch him die, he would've sent him to ask for help and maybe then he would have exhaled his last breath, knowing he wouldn't have to see the pain on Sam's face.

This is why I hate the finale. They gave me (and maybe others) hope, then they took it away just for shock effect.

First of all, I do take any use of piano MHB as a slight towards my tiny hands. -1 point

I really would love to visit this place, it's beautiful

I love that Oli introduces it and then Till is straight in there talking about murder and stabbings. Trust that to be what intrigues him. I feel like 'smells like murder' isn't a direct translation but that's purely because I spent like ten minutes trying to work out what words he says. It rhymes, which is suspicious.

Oh this was before he let his chest piercing reject all the way out in the grossest way

When schneider says Krankenhaus it sounds very Geordie and I'm convinced that kind of thing is why Auf Wiedersehen, Pet was created

Richards eyes light up when he's talking about the room he's in and it's one of those looks where it's just. I would love to listen to anything anyone has to say when their eyes have that sparkle.

"the scavengers had already been here" cue Paul talking about his criminal past thieving from there. See, another example everyone forgets of him being the biggest bastard of them all. The smile is a front.

One of my favourite ever Rammstein things is the combined joy and mockery from Paul when Richard is revealed to be wearing the bird mask and it wiggles as he nods. He looks like a little black cockatoo. Richard looks embarrassed to be wearing it but Paul is having the time of his LIFE.

The way is echoes in his mask makes him sound like he's clucking

Flakes glasses perching in his cone make him look like that sesame Street doctor or scientist

They all suit this make up so much and I wish they'd consider it as a stage look

Richard looks so much like a little vampire prince but like, a character from what we do in the shadows. He makes his own smokescreen entry/exist and everything.

The sounddd. I used to always be curious as to whether or not people in music videos were making the sounds it looks like they're making and now I know and I'm uncomfortable. This and also later when till does the heart

His laugh is never what I expect it to be

That uh. That doesn't look like he's in pain the way the injection sounds implied. At all. Not that I'm complaining but it gives mixed messages.

I'm so sure Richard is the only one I've ever heard use the word quasi. It makes sense for him if true but maybe I only notice because of the tone he uses? His is quite a punchy nasal tone it might just be more noticeable.

Till with kids is always the most adorable wonderful thing. He's really helping to keep them relaxed despite the creepiness of the stuff they're shooting.

I googled and the lady doesn't pronounce renaissance with a g like Till does and that interests me. In fairness I have to assume it's like in Norwegian how words like restaurant are pronounced with a g sound because it's closer to the French sounds? It's not like we in English donut the French way either but the Google translate lady does. This is why I always suspect that when I'm learning a language I'm learning the language wrong and at some point I'll find out there's a Real, For Adults version if the language that's totally different. This is irrelevant. Accents are fun and I like being able to notice them.

Something about a child saying "ah yes, I know Till and Flake very well" is hysterical.

You can feel the dismay and disapproval radiating off till as he tries to be diplomatic about the Spanish understanding of linear time. He struggles to find a positive and only comes up with the fire walls. "It should have gone out before we filmed anything because they were fucking around with the playback so long but it didn't" is his only compliment.

It must be so hard to find Oli sized clothes. Flake is also tall and slim but he's a lot more leg, whereas Olis height seems largely to be torso. I have to assume a lot of his stuff is tailored or custom made now.

Till guiding people through him murdering them is truly one of life's greatest pleasures. They trust him so completely. I would like to watch them dance the elegance would be astounding.

Paul lurking watching with what I choose to see as pride as till slaughters an old woman.

I would like to know what he wanted to say about till and then see him get into trouble over it.

Paul takes every opportunity to say how hot he thinks they all are and I love that about him. Sometimes your friends are all hot and everybody needs to understand that fact.

Their approaches to pretending to play cello are all so uniquely them. Flake and Richard are taking the time to try and understand what they're being told, whereas Paul just fucking. Lays into it, attracting the weirdest looks from Oli. Richard looks beautiful with that cello and I think he should learn to play. For fun not for work. It's not just that he looks so handsome, but I think that's the easiest way to convince him. I think he'd be good at it, and not being the lead at something might be good for him.

I appreciate that Oli is skeptical because yeah they do all look like they've never held a cello before.

They do, however, all look lovely in their dresses. I'm trying but actually I can't not say that Schneiders little sternum dip makes it seem like he has breasts in that dress and it's a good look for him.

Paul is actually probably the best one there, ironically. They're all comically out of time. They're professional musicians. I know they aren't used to bowed instruments I do understand and I don't want to be uncharitable but also they are struggling. I want to see cellists react to this.
